Residential Care . Residential Care refers to a growing continuum of senior services available to support elders in the community. These services include in-home non-medical and/or nursing care, but also Residential Care Homes (RCH) or Residential Care Facilities (RCFE). In Home non-medical care is a growing field – providing families with options to “age in Place” in their own home. RCH’s are assisted living facilities providing various levels of care for those seniors who are semi-independent and for those needing regular assistance. These homes offer meal service and basic care all the way to skilled nursing in some cases. Otherwise referred to as group homes, assisted living, personal care homes, or catered living.
